Game 1:

Philadelphia Union 1-3 vs D.C. United

Philadelphia Union U-17s fell to D.C. United U-17s 3-1 this past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The match began with DCU creating chances with their possession, which ultimately led to DCU taking an early 1-0 lead.

The Union attack came alive shortly after the DCU goal. Philadelphia used counter-attacks which caused pressure and multiple chances towards the net. Philadelphia ultimately struck with a goal of their own in the 35th minute after Jason Aoyama found the back of the net to equalize the match.

Following the goal from Philadelphia, D.C. United was able to take the lead with a goal of their own and would end up adding an insurance goal to earn the 3-1 victory.

Game 2:

Philadelphia Union 0-3 vs NYCFC

Philadelphia Union U-17s dropped their final match of the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia in a three-nil defeat at the hands of NYCFC U-17s. The Union U-17s attacked and controlled tempo by utilizing possession from the back and thrived for the first 64 minutes of the match.

The U-17s created chances throughout the contest but were not able to convert and find the back of the net. NYCFC was able to break through with a goal in the 65th minute of play. NYCFC would later add to their lead with a penalty kick and tacked on their third goal of the match in the remaining minutes of the contest.
